Where I buy Rylee's clothes from..

Happy Friday, y'all!

When I was pregnant little did I know that babies go through clothes SO fast & sometimes without even wearing them. Some of Rylee's clothes she maybe wore one time or maybe even two. Now that she's not growing as fast we're getting some use out of her clothes & I don't mind spending a little extra money on them, but before I was sort of cheap.

With that being said, that's not to say that I didn't splurge because I did and still do.

1) I love shopping on facebook at all of these cute boutiques because I can get outfits custom made & don't have to worry about 1,000 other kids having them. (Yes, I'm like that.) And yes they are a little expensive, but they're only little once, right? :)

2) Zulily and Totsy are my favorite sites because they have a lot of name brand items for so cheap! I just recently bought Rylee a pair of pink Sperry's for $11.00!  But you have to be quick because they run out of stuff fast.

I am the one to save money where I can & I know on clothes you can and you just need to be a little patient and wait on the sales.

3) I do NOT walk into any Children's clothing store without a coupon. Why? Because places like Children's Place, Gymboree or Carters are ALL over priced.  I love shopping at the outlets for them because they have a lot of good sales & I always bring coupons!

4) I also love going to Nordstrom Rack because they have a lot of nice stuff for cheap! It's a win or lose situation when you go though. Sometimes you'll find lots of stuff & sometimes there will be nothing.

5) Also, go into all of the nicer stores & go straight to the sale section. I went into Baby Gap the other day & I found a bunch of cute summer rompers (because it is pretty much summer year round in Florida) for $5! Score! I was excited.

6) And one last thing..if you see something you love & it's on sale or for a really great price- BUY IT! Just because your baby is only 6 months old and it's an 18 month outfit doesn't matter! I have clothes in Rylee's closet that are 24 months and 2t & it will be a while before she can fit into it, but I couldn't pass them up!

What a year!

So much has changed in a year! Last year I was literally so, so scared. I still remember leaving work and heading to the doctors because my headaches wouldn't stop & next thing I knew my doctor was admitting me to the hospital because my blood pressure was sky high. I was so scared because I didn't know what to expect. I just wanted the baby to be okay. It's scary when you don't know what could happen.

I remember crying my eyes out to the doctor in the room when he was explaining everything to me. I love my doctor and I am so glad he was able to calm me down somewhat.

I remember calling Jeremy as soon as I walked out of the doctor's office & not being able to speak because I started crying so hard again. 

I remember rushing home to take a shower before Jeremy got home because I didn't know what was going to happen! Maybe the baby was coming today!

I remember calling my mom & sister and still not being able to talk because I was crying. I'm pretty sure I cried the whole night. 

I remember getting into the hospital & started immediately having contractions. 

I remember those awful terb shots to stop the contractions & how they gave me hot flashes & made me all jittery. 

I remember me still wanting to go natural & how in the hell could I do that if they were stopping my contractions & going to induce me?

I remember sleeping in that horrible hospital bed with a big ole belly and nowhere to move.
I remember getting to see her precious face through an awesome hospital ultrasound to make sure she was okay. 

 I remember this contraction & it hurt- little did I know that what was about to come within the next week would be 100x worse.

And then I remember being sent home for the next week. To rest. To lay on the couch and do absolutely nothing.
Being able to feel every kick that I would know to miss..

Being pregnant & carrying a human inside you is a miracle & so scary the entire time. It's even scarier being a mom. 

I don't think you can fully understand what it's like to love someone so incredibly much that there are no words to express it until you become a mom.

We have had a rough week..as you can tell. The fang teeth weren't bad at all coming through, but these top middle are horrible. She's been waking up at 4am screaming her little head off. I'll be glad when the other top one breaks through. This is #5 & 6. Going from 0 teeth until 10 months and then all of a sudden they're coming all at once. Can I get a little break?! ;)

 We have been busy decorating for Halloween this weekend! The past few years I haven't been big on decorating for Halloween, but since we have Rylee I need to get my butt in gear! Some may say it's a little early for this, but bite me. ;) Rylee is going to be a lady bug and her costume is so freaking adorable. I just need to find some red/black tights!

I made my first trip to Homegoods this weekend too. Love.that.place. I found this cute little thing for Rylee's artwork.

Once it was hanging I realized the first clip is backwards or something weird..oh well. I still like it!


I found this non-profit organization called Baby Bungalow. We are going to start going to this on Fridays and they have all sorts of activities that are 100% free! A friend takes her baby there & she loves it so we're going to give it a shot. I hope Rylee likes it!

We have been busy, busy, busy! Blogging is the last on my

A good friend of mine that just had her baby about a month ago is now going through another challenging & sad obstacle. She was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. While it could be worse, any type of cancer is bad in my book. They have taken a biopsy out and they are just waiting on the oncologist to biopsy that.

This all came out of the blue. One day she woke up & felt a lump so she went into her OB and that's when this all happened. Her mom has now quit her job & is coming down to stay with her & help her. She just opened up her orthodontic practice so now she is having to take a lot of time off for everything. I feel really sad for her. I couldn't imagine just giving birth & then having to go through this. It really makes me feel blessed with everything I have & just think how lucky I am. We've been praying like crazy for her & hopefully everything will be okay.

So blog friends- even if you don't pray I just ask that you take the time out to realize how crazy and unpredictable life can be.


And I've been missing lately because we've had a few rough nights in this household- well not nights- more like 5am mornings. I don't know what's going on. I see 2 more teeth so I'm hoping that's the cause and after this passes I'm hoping she will go back to normal. Once these teeth break through they will be number 5 & 6! She went from 0 teeth to 4 teeth in a matter of 2 weeks! Plus I had strep last week for the 2nd time in a month. It's gone though & I'm planing to update more regularly!

I will go ahead and tell you I was pretty skeptical about trying Butt Paste. I've heard it was good stuff, but when you're a new mom everyone always tells you their favorites & everyone always has different reasons on why they like something. Rylee has very sensitive skin. When she was first born we used Johnson & Johnsons & Dreft soap for her clothes. She broke out in a bad rash and we had to switch to Aveeno & All Free & Clear.  Now you can see why I was skeptical about trying this. I just thought for sure she would break out in another rash & we would have to stop, but I was wrong.

We first tried the bath soap & I immediately fell in love. It has such an awesome scent to it- not too strong, but not too dull. Then- Rylee happened to get this weird rash on her booty & we used the All Natural rash cream & it cleared it up like a charm. I had no idea they carried all natural, but I love that they do because I'm a big fan of all natural, healthy products for my babies bum. 

Even if you don't have a baby- you don't want to pass this giveaway up! Give it to a friend, or a baby shower gift because I know I would love to have gotten this as a gift when Rylee was born!

Weekend recap

The weekend is over. *insert sad face here*

Friday I had to work. Normally I wouldn't like going to work on a Friday, but it's such easy, good money that I can't pass it up. Who wouldn't want to go to work for 4 hours and make over $150? When I came home Jeremy had been up with Rylee for 1 hour already because she wouldn't stop screaming, so that made it 2 hours past her bed time. I nursed her for a bit when I got home & she still refused to go to sleep. Finally I rocked her at 1am and she fell asleep. Holy cow. 

This babe must have thought she was grown or something?! 

And guess what time she woke up Saturday morning? 

7:30am! 

Bright & early. Oh boy.

Weeee! Look at me! I can stand up!

Saturday we woke up so exhausted, including baby girl, 

but she still refused to take her morning nap. 

What is the dealio?! 

So we had some fun before we went shopping!

 Did I do that?

Daddy made me get on Diesel & act like I was riding him like a horsey!

We finished Rylee's birthday party decoration shopping! We bought bubbles, gumballs, and candy for the favors. We were going to make cupcakes, but who wants to make 50 cupcakes? NOT ME!  I just need to finish her high chair tutu that I was in the process of making and ran out of tulle..err..and then I am DONE with all of it!

Rylee really doesn't sit in her bumbo anymore, but daddy put her in it today & she actually stayed in it.

 This is boring. Next please.

Seriously mom? I've had enough!

Now you see why my updates are not as often as they used to be? This little babe is into everything these days! If she's not sleeping I'm chasing her crawling butt around!
