There's going to be lots of exciting news/giveaways coming up on my blog in the month of September! Be sure to check them all out! There will be giveaways formamas, mamas to be, students, or anyone that is wanting to become organized and stylish at the same time!
In other news- I'm officially one busy mama. School has started up & I'm already counting down the days until Winter break! When I dropped Rylee off at my memes today before class she screamed her little head off. Made my heart break into a million pieces. :( I know it's good for her- because she needs to get used to other people, but it's still sad. When I came back to pick her up she saw me and started bouncing up and down!
We went back to the pedi yesterday for Rylee's eye since it's still not better & we're going on 3 weeks now. We are being sent to an eye specialist next week. =( They think it's a clogged tear duct & hopefully we can get it fixed without them having to do surgery. This breaks my heart. I really hope it clears up on it's own.
Now? I must get off of twitter land, facebook world & blogger universe so I can study before my munchkin wakes up!
I've been contemplating about writing this because this isn't really everyones business, but then I was curious to see when other people were ready for #2- so what better place to find out then by my blogger friends?!
So..with that being said...
When was YOUR family ready for #2? How did you know? Did you just 'let it happen'?
Jeremy & I have talked about this a few times- because let's face it- he is not getting any younger by the second. He is 36 years old and while I still have plenty of time for #2..he does not. I've always said I wanted my kids to be close in age because my sister & I are 6 years apart and we never got along when we were younger & now? We really don't either. Jeremy & his brother are 14 months apart & they were best friends growing up & still are pretty close.
However...I'm still in school for nursing & ideally would love to finish before we introduce another family member, but I won't be done for at least another 3 years. That will make Jeremy 40!!! To me- that's too old to have a baby. While I know people are having babies later in age now- I don't want to Jeremy to be that 'grandpa' at middle school dropping his kid off.
So- I don't know what to do! Do we just 'let it happen' like we did with Rylee? Do we wait until I'm out of school? So many decisions!
1) Is it really necessary to constantly hear about Kim's wedding? Don't act like you don't know who I'm talking about. Her 2 million dollar head piece...WTF?! How about the last KUWTK episode where she lost her diamond earrings in the ocean & she said they were 75k! Holy sh.....
2) We are finally all better & not sick anymore! HALLELJUAH!
3) My nephews 1st birthday party is Saturday! That means only6 weeks until Rylee's 1st birthday! How did all of this time go by SO FAST??
The first time they met eachother!
Ethan was 7w old & Rylee was 5 days old!
And the most recent picture of them together!
4) It's almost the WEEKEND!!!!!!! Happy almost Friday, y'all!
It looks like the hurricane is heading a little further away from us..YAY! We are off for a mini vaca tomorrow after my morning class. =)
Speaking of class- this semester may be the hardest so far. I'm only taking 2 classes, but it's time consuming on top of being a mama, a wife & working 12 hours a week. Who would have thought all of this would be so hard? I am going to start learning how to really manage my time a lot better.
I'm not really a big fan of the use "FML" term. But this is a totally, 100% FML week.
Rylee was sick 2 weeks ago with a cold , congestion and whatever else you can think of. Then she got better- then her eye started getting pink & that lasted for about a week- then one morning we woke up & it was swollen, red & goopy..definitely knew it was pink eye. We went to the doctors Friday and got her on some meds- only for 5 days & this is the 4th day & her eye is still RED! It actually looks worse today then yesterday..FML. I'll be seeing another doctor visit in the near future- as in tomorrow or Wednesday.
Then out of the blue I woke up Sunday morning with a serious sore throat, fever, aches. I saw white pockets in my throat & guess what? Now I have strep! Hopefully these antibiotics work FAST because I can't afford to be sick with a 10.5 month old & I do NOT want her getting sick.
Then...we're suppose to be going to St.Augustine Thursday & guess what? There's a lovely hurricane headed our way. They say it should be here Friday and guess where it's going? The east coast- the same place we're going! FML.
Rylee has been sleeping for 30 minutes & now she's standing up in her crib. FML. I just need an easy day until Jeremy gets home because I feel like poop.
We are all entitled to a "FML" day, right? This is my day.
Between taking care of Rylee with pink eye & now me being sick I've also been working on orders for Two peas in a pod. This is a halloween tutu & bow for a customer! =)
Today I talk about breastfeeding in public & a #1 must have for ALL MAMAS!
I'm also linking up for the mommy bloggers today! So excited to do this.
How cute is this?! Rylee loves her pup!
I love being a mommy blogger & being able to link up with others to do this! It's so fun & exciting to hear about other babies & to get others advice on this thing we call motherhood.
This post contains lots of pictures so I would like to introduce myself & my family.
Jeremy & I met when I worked at Carrabba's. We started dating about 2 months after we met & we've been inseparable ever since. 1.5 years after being together he finally proposed! 12.22.08
We were engaged for 10.5 months before we said I do! 11.07.09
We had a wonderful wedding with all of our family & close friends.
We went on a week long honeymoon to St. Lucia.
Came back- had fun
& found out we were pregnant 02.21.10! It's been an exciting 4 years and I've loved every minute of it. Here is a more in depth post.
I went through 3 tests before I believed it & then I still had to confirm with the doctor.
So we went to Costa Rica
Vegas...
Grand Canyon..
Sedona...
We met our nephew Ethan 6 weeks before Rylee!
After a long 37 weeks of being pregnant Rylee came into this world on 10.07.10 by induction because I had preeclampsia.
We are now 10.5 months into this whole parenting thing & it really couldn't get any better. I love being able to stay at home with her & watch her every new move!I talk a lot about this little baby pictured below & what life is with her here. So stick around ! :)
to get sad over your baby getting big. I know I am! It's exciting watching her do new things, but also sad because she's not my little baby anymore.
to not clean your house for a few days. The dust, dirt and whatever else will still be there & you will still be alive. I have a big problem with this one. I feel like I have to clean my house EVERY DAY!
to be a good tipper in a restaurant. They are not waitresses/waiters- they are SERVERS so don't treat them like you're better than them. You don't know what they're doing with their life.
to spell congraTulations the right way & not congraDulations.
to take a nap during the day if you're just plain tired. especially us mamas with little babies.
to admit that you watch Jersey Shore, Bachelor Pad and any other insanely addicting 'reality' show.
to get excited about our weekend getaway next weekend! WOO!
