With that being said, this past weekend we saw snow for the first time! First time for me too!
We had to wake Rylee up on Friday morning and she was still so tired!
(This was for 4 days....insane how much you have to pack with kids.)
Once we spent all day at the funeral, grave site and lunch we were off to make the dreaded 3.5 hour drive to Loni's! We had many, many meltdowns, but didn't have to make one pit stop.
I may have climbed in the backseat between 2 car seats, squished as ever, and I may have had to do something else to keep Chloe calm...but we will just skip over that part.
We finally made it! We had matching pjs for the girls so duh we had to give them a bath together and duh we had to put them in the same pjs.
Sunday we went to this fun indoor play place. They had all kinds of trampolines and huge swing sets and slides. The girls loved it.
I may have been a little excited too.
Monday morning Rylee woke us up bright and early saying "mama up" , "dada up" all while pulling the covers off of me. I get up..look outside and it's snowing! I text Loni and she didn't believe me. You could say I slightly freaked out. Mainly because I've never been in snow or had any part in it.
1st snow ball!!
It was 7* on Monday before we left. SO, SO COLD! None of us liked the cold weather.
It was a fun, short trip! We were ready to come back home. Going somewhere with kids is nothing like going on vacation by yourself or with your husband. It's a lot, lot, lot more work. We had a lot of meltdowns at the airport on the way home since both of our flights were delayed. We ended up not getting home until midnight. With 2 young kids- that sucks.
So call me mom of the year, but yes she had this huge thing to keep her sane (and us too.)
