2011 in review

I honestly can't believe 2011 is almost gone!

Where on earth did this year disappear?

2011 started off amazing.

We were new parents to a 3 month old.

I was officially at 'Stay at home mom' after putting in my leave from Coca-Cola after 3 years.  

Such a hard decision to come to, but so worth it.

We had our 1st trip on a plane to visit Loni in Chicago!

P is definitely not impressed!

We went to D.C. for the 4th of July

 

and had a horrible train experience there..never again.

 

 We went to Boca Raton & stayed at an amazing resort right on the beach.

We had Rylee's 1st birthday!

• We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary!
• Witnessed beautiful people get married

...and so much more! This year has been awesome & I can't wait to see what 2012 brings! 

Maybe a new baby, maybe a new house, maybe a new car & maybe..just maybe I will get to see snow for the FIRST TIME.

When did my girl get so big?

When did Rylee get so smart and cute?!

Every time I change her clothes she will grab them and stick them in the dirty clothes hamper..

how adorable, right?

then...

today I was changing her diaper in the living room & 

she gets up, grabs her diaper & 

walks to her room & 

sticks it in the diaper pail!

My gosh, when did she get so big?!?!!

I feel like I just had her!

Oh..and her new thing?

Holding her sandwiches by herself.

Oh...and we are practicing feeding with a spoon by herself!

She loves to grab the spoon & she'll open so wide, but I have to guide the spoon with my hand.

It's ADORABLE.

I think I need another baby.... ;)

Christmas 2011

After having 4 Christmases we are EXHAUSTED!

We had so much fun though!

Saturday we went to my aunt & uncles to celebrate & open gifts!

"Mom, STOP WITH THE PICTURES!"

Rylee received a pillow pet, books, lego blocks & clothes!

I got money! :)

Saturday night Jeremy's dad & brother came over with their families.

 She loves opening presents!

I got a Macy's gift card & Rylee received some books, clothes & money to put in her bank account!

After Rylee went to bed Saturday Santa came by and helped us get everything ready!

Of course I was so excited! I wanted to go grab her and play, but I didn't. ;)

 We can't leave Diesel out!

Her new thing: give lots and lots of kisses. 

I'm pretty sure I have the best hubby. I never have to doubt his style & what he buys for me. :)

OH &&& he bought me my 55-200mm lens!!!!! :D

and a new Sedu hair straightener & a generous gift card to Victoria's Secret where I bought tons of undies & bras today. :)

Christmas night we put the babes to bed & headed out for adult time. I came home..drunk...with the room spinning..oops. So much fun. Warning: crappy pics ;)

 

We had such an awesome weekend! Tons and tons of gifts- we are so blessed. I literally got everything on my list that I asked for- thanks to my hubby & mom!

Worst mom award..

I'm definitely feeling like the worlds worst mom- 

although I know I'm not- 

I'm sure we all have these days.

Rylee was happily playing and then boom she fell.

Ended up with this...

And now I feel horrible. I've tried teething rings, wash cloths- she won't let me put nothing on her lip to help the swelling. I didn't have any ibuprofen handy so I gave her some tylenol and she's napping right now. Any other tips you mommies can give me?????

Wordless Wednesday

Baking until my hands fall off

We (my mom, sister & I) literally baked ALL DAY LONG.

Sadly, I have no pictures. Uh, hello brain?

Could have been that Rylee was being super fussy &

ended up with a fever last night. :(

We did count the cupcakes & we made 144 of them. WHOA.

We also made: fudge, pretzels dipped in chocolate, ritz bitz with chocolate, almonds in chocolate, peanut clusters, chocolate chip cookies, sugar drops with kisses, chocolate Oreo balls, chocolate cookies dipped in peppermint icing & brownies. Okay, I think that's all. phew. 

My neighbors got some goodies! We decorated it all Christmas themed. Now I'm exhausted and I want to eat it all, but I can't. I have to save it. Let's really see how much will be here Christmas Eve....

Our Christmas Card

Rylee's 1st Christmas Party!

Today we were excited to go to Rylee's 1st Christmas party! 

She was all dressed up & ready to meet a future boyfriend!

We had a lot of fun! It was with my local mom group & I haven't been to too many meet ups with school & everything else, but now that I have a lot more free time we've been pretty active. We did a little present exchange too! 

She had these cinnamon/apple/banana teething biscuits & omg they smell so, so delicious. Got home. Tried them. And they are the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. Pretty much like cardboard. YUCK. I hope none of them find this...

This is what happens when you try to get 4 babies to take a picture all at once.

And..yes..this resulted in the baby in the bumbo screaming his head off because the one behind him was pulling his hair. :/

I'm really starting to like these ladies. We just got a Christmas card in the mail from one of them & it had a cute ornament with Rylee's name on it. How thoughtful. =) I love little things like that.
